Weekend!
Hey nice people!
Finaly weekend after 5 days of hard labour in school... okay that's a lie, but we did have a 'hard' time having lot's of fun and pleasure :) Today I had 2 hours free! Our teacher french wasn't in school, so that's good! First hour we had to study, 2nd hour nomore, 'cause we liked it more to ask our surveillant difficult questions about his personality... I still think his middle name is 'freddy kruger' don't know why but.. he wears a hat, and gloves all day!! He's the only teacher that's wearing a tie and a suit! The first thing he said when he entered was: my job is philosopher, can anyone imagine that he gives Latin, English, Dutch, German AND French?? anyway!
My teacher Eglish mister Vliegen (but I call him Bart outside school, it would be stupid to call your own family Mr. Vliegen) is also soooooo good! I's the first year he's teacher in our school and 99% of the students like him. That 1% that doesn't like him is Koen, because Koen can give really stupid answers to the most easy questions. Last time he said 'I know nothing', I couldn't resist to say 'I'm from Barcelona' after that. Nobody seemed to get the joke... exept Bart :D. From that moment on... we are the fawlty-towers-friends!
Hope you enjoyed!
Bye!
Grtz Elke!
p.s. Mr Weltens, please stop kicking my table ! :p

HIgh school was so fun. It was so about my friends and so NOT about learning. Now I regret it and am currently reading a book about Nazi youth and learnign a LOT! I do not remember any of this being presented to me at school, but for that matter I do not remember ANYTHING from ANY of my history classes in school. I am interested in it now.
Happy weekend!
It is very interesting (that book). One thing I have to give them is they could sure organise leadership. It is so sickening what I am learning. I had no idea how far they went and that he/they went after the youth so hard and strong. I had no idea all of the concepts behind his actions. The ideology with his/their thinking. It is so far fetched. To take an idea like that and run with it with the passion of your life really takes a lot of work. Because common sense would tell you that it is really wrong. I find it amazing that they didn't get more resistance than they did. Well, actually, the next chapter I'm about to read is about resistance, so maybe I'll be surprised by that as well. By goodness, the influencial power to get all those people behind them is just amazing in a sick way. The way they set out to "own" the children is thoroughly disgusting. When I'm done reading this book I really want to sit down and talk to my children about this. They sometimes ask me about the Nazi's, for example, when Prince HArry dressed up like one at a party, and the shohck that produced. they wanted to know whyit was so shocking. What was shocking is that I could only tell them like 2 sentences to explain it. And that did not do it justice. My explaination did not cause horror or disgust. SO I am reading up on why it was so thoroughly disgusting so I can communicate that. I am also learning about how it got that far and see what life lessons I can pull out of that and pass on to my children. I also want to teach them and show them that there WERE times that this movement could have been resisted and stopped in an easier way than it ultimately was and that freedom IS worth fighting for! There seems to be an apathy in America now that NOTHING is worth fighting for. Very eye opening this little book is. Thanks for asking. Anything you would like to share I would be more than willing to listen. If it's appropriate and not too awful long you can put it on my blog. If it's a whole big giant thing, I have an e-mail on my profile you would be more than welcome to use. Thank you.
Are they trying to teach you in school that the Nazi moevement was good because it produced jobs????
Thanks for digging on my blog. I have been too busy to reallty make any interesting blogs lately. Hopefully this weekend I will get a good one up that people can have fun with.
I love yours too. I really like it and you. Brings me back to when I was your age. It doesn't really seem like that long ago, you know! Me and my friends, our life really revolved around music and what guys we liked. Guys in bands and "real" guys in our school. Of course the guys we liked had no idea we were alive, but whatever...
Do you have football, basketball and baseball games at your school? We used to go to look at the guys we liked. Do you guys have Homecoming or Spirit Week or things like that? Just wondering how your shcool may differ than mine here in the States.
Thanks for the blog comment and the email. I wrote you back on email.
I do not know what NOTP is. Can you fill me in?
